Research: Interdomain Dynamics of Chromatin Remodelers

I’m a second-year graduate student in the Bowman Lab, originally from Istanbul, Turkey. I completed my undergraduate degree at Hopkins as well in Molecular & Cellular Biology, so I have lived in Baltimore for quite some time now! In the Bowman Lab, I study interdomain dynamics of the chromatin remodeler Chd1 on the nucleosome using single molecule techniques such as smFRET. When I’m not in the lab, I am often hunting down movie revivals at my local theater or catching an Orioles game with friends!
