Rising 3rd-year PMB student Elise White, in the Woodson Lab, was awarded the prestigious NIH F31 Ruth L. Kirschstein National Service Research Award (NRSA) predoctoral fellowship. The F31 fellowship will support Elise’s PhD research aimed at investigating how the dynamics of a RNA chaperone protein (Hfq) and its RNA ligands are mutually rewired to expedite gene regulation in bacteria. Congratulations, Elise!
