Chloe Pacyna is one of two Johns Hopkins University seniors heading to the UK to complete graduate studies after being named Marshall Scholar. Marshall Scholarships finance young Americans of high ability to study for a degree in the United Kingdom. Up to forty Scholars are selected each year to study at graduate level at an UK institution in any field of study.
Next year Chloe will begin her program in Biological Sciences at the Wellcome Sanger Institute. She is planning to use bioinformatics to study somatic mutations and single cell transcriptomics in pediatric cancers with PI’s Peter Campbell and Sam Behjati. In addition to doing fun and innovative science, Chloe is looking forward to riding horses, and baking cakes.
